Museum des 20. Jahrhunderts Berlin

Design submission for an international competition for a new museum in the cultural district of Berlin.  The museum responds to surrounding significant and historic buildings. Each built in different eras and currently appear as isolated forms.  The design seeks to transform the gaps between buildings into a defined public spaces. The internal organization seeks to provide moments of relief between exhibition spaces.   Axes through the building frame views and connects the space of the gallery to the world beyond.
